Train to be an LGV Driver with Dixons Carphone
Road to Logistics is a Community Interest Company established with Government backing, to tackle the UK Driver Shortage.
We are offering individuals who are currently out of work or claiming Universal Credit, the opportunity to train to be an LGV Driver, with a guaranteed interview with one of our logistics partners.
The training and test will all be paid for, so all we need from you is a clean UK driving licence, and commitment to the program.
We are proud to be partnering with Dixons Carphone, who have requirements for LGV Drivers, and have committed to interviewing successful candidates once they have passed their test, so there are very tangible job opportunities available with them.
Dixons Carphone require Cat C drivers so if you passed your driving test pre-1997, you will already be authorised to drive their vehicles, and will only need to take your CPC qualification, which we can put you through.
Gaining an LGV licence usually costs around £3k so this is a unique opportunity to gain a new qualification with no cost implication for you.
Driving is a really rewarding job. No two days are the same and you will be interacting with a large range of customers, representing your company and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of vital products around the country.
Logistics is a fantastic sector to work in, with lots of opportunities for progression once you have your foot on the first rung of the ladder. It is also a booming industry so there are plenty of roles and crucially during these difficult times, lots of job security.
Road to Logistics takes diversity and inclusion very seriously, so we will consider all candidates regardless of background, or disability. The only requirement is that you are legally able to drive a car and have a full, valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
